New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership holds two major business conferences each year and participates in a wide variety of business events.
The most recent New Anglia event was our Business Opportunities conference held in March 2012 at the John Innes Centre, Norwich Research Park.
Officially opening the event, John Fuller, leader of South Norfolk District Council and a New Anglia board member, told the LEP conference that Norwich Research Park alone was home to six world-class institutions that were already leading the way in responding to the “grand challenges” facing mankind.
Such issues, he said, included providing more food from fewer acres, healthier eating, getting more out of fewer global resources and making the best use of water.
NRP businesses and other firms from the LEP area had great expertise and there were “fantastic business opportunities to play a role in the next green revolution”.
“We have an opportunity to redefine what green means so that Norfolk and Suffolk can be at the forefront of green energy and research. New Anglia LEP understands this and recognises its importance,” said Mr Fuller, who formally opened the conference.
