The Team

Meet the team for New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

The team is responsible for the day to day running of New Anglia. This includes supporting the New Anglia board, delivering its strategy, liaising with government, identifying activities to support jobs growth, securing funding, engaging with the business community and liaising with the media.

 

Chris Starkie ImageChris Starkie, Managing Director

Chris was the co-author of New Anglia's successful submission to Government and has day to day responsibility for the development of New Anglia.

For the past three years he has been the Chief Executive of economic development partnership Shaping Norfolk's Future, which was responsible for leading, campaigns for the dualling of the A11 and improvements to the rail network.   Prior to joining Shaping Norfolk's Future he was the business editor of the Eastern Daily Press and regional business journalist of the year, 3 years running.

Chris has also worked for Anglia Television, the Western Daily Press and radio station Star 107.3.

Charley Rogerson ImageCharlotte Rogerson, PA to Managing Director

Charlotte has joined the Team from working for Girlguiding Anglia at Hautbois Activity Centre for the past three years as Programme & Event Coordinator and Administrator. She has previously worked as a civil servant and in the hospitality industry, as well as completing a degree in Child, Young Person and Family Studies. 

Charlotte is a pivotal member of the team, and is the first point of contact for general enquiries.

Sharon Arthurton Image

Sharon Arthurton, Website Officer

Sharon has taken over the new role of Website Officer.  Sharon previously worked for the Managing Director and has extensive experience working for the private, public and voluntary sectors, Sharon has previously worked for Connexions Norfolk, Voluntary Norfolk and Circle Anglia.

Iain Dunnett ImageIain Dunnett, Operations Manager

Iain joins the team as Operations Manager, supporting the Programme Director with day to day running of the organisation and overseeing the sector groups. Iain has a BSc in Environmental Studies and is qualified in DMS Management Studies, is a Common Purpose Graduate on their Leadership Development Programme.

Iain has previous experience working as Low Carbon Development Management for Suffolk Chamber of Commerce managing the Green Economy Pathfinder. Previous to this, Iain has worked for Suffolk County Council on a variety of environmental projects, as External Funding Manager and in directing the aspiration of Creating the Greenest County.

Emma Finn ImageEmma Finn, Communications and Engagement Manager

Emma has brought expertise to a range of senior marketing, sponsorship and fundraising roles for private and public sector organisations. This includes pioneering the first business sponsorship programme for the Metropolitan Police, as their Head of Sponsorship and working for London-based marketing agency, Educational Communications, securing business partnerships with government's educational programmes.

Before joining the team Emma was seconded to Shaping Norfolk's Future as the Director of Marketing.  She lives in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

Jason Middleton ImageJason Middleton, Funding and Projects Manager

Jason brings fifteen years' experience of partnership working and funding expertise within the private, public and voluntary sectors on a range of initiatives.

Born in Northamptonshire and educated at the University of Wales and The Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Jason settled in Norfolk in 1999 to pursue his career in rural regeneration with Norfolk Rural Community Council and then Norfolk County Council.  Here he led the rural economic team on a wide range of rural regeneration and funding initiatives. Jason's previous role was Partnership Manager with Shaping Norfolk's Future.

Eunice Edwards ImageEunice Edwards, Enterprise Zone Co-ordinator

Eunice is seconded from Suffolk County Council to New Anglia to oversee the start-up
of the Enterprise Zone, which was launched in April 2012.

With a business background in the private sector and experience of project co-ordination, budget management and data monitoring, she has wide-ranging skills.

She is the first point of contact for businesses wanting to learn more about the
benefits of operating in the Enterprise Zone and for the government departments
involved.

Marie Finbow ImageMarie Finbow, Green Economy Pathfinder Manager

Marie is seconded on a part-time basis from Suffolk County Council to manage the implementation of the Green Economy Manifesto which was presented to Government in June 2012.

Graduating with an MBA in 2010 from University Campus,Suffolk and a Prince 2 Practitioner, Marie brings with her extensive skills and knowledge, having worked in a number of management roles in the county council.  Her most recent experience in project management includes the creation of the joint fire control between Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, the divestment of the council’s portfolio of country parks and recreation sites and developing an enhanced and sustainable heritage offer for Suffolk.

Chris Dashper ImageChris Dashper, Growing Places Fund Programme Manager

Chris is seconded on a part-time basis from Suffolk County Council, to manage the Growing Places Fund which launched in March 2012.

Qualified to Prince 2 Practitioner level, he has been involved in programme management and project funding since 1997, when he joined the Rural Development Commission. Subsequent roles have included delivery of the nationwide Local Heritage Initiative programme for the Countryside Agency and time spent working on social inclusion objectives for Suffolk ACRE before joining Suffolk County Council to manage a range of programmes including Investing in Communities on behalf of EEDA.

Chris is the primary contact for all enquires relating to the Growing Places Fund.
