Local Development Orders
All seven Local Development Orders (LDOs) in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth have been approved by the Secretary of State, Eric Pickles. Six of these are in the Enterprise Zone and one in nearby Power Park, just outside the Zone.
This gives the green light to developers and businesses to build on these areas of land without the need for planning approval, if criteria are met.
Mr Pickles said,
"Enterprise Zones are set to become the crown jewels of how we make Britain the best place in the world to start and grow a business. The Government has set about fostering local enterprise and creating the conditions for businesses to thrive."
